Academic Scholarships

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

Academic Excellence Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate strength in academic studies and who exhibit qualities compatible with the ethos of St Aidan's Anglican Girls' School. Academic Scholarship holders are expected to participate in the broader extra-curricular life of the school. Scholarships represent up to a maximum of 25% remission of tuition fees, at the sole discretion of the Principal.

General Academic Scholarships

General Academic Scholarships are available for students entering Years 7 to 10.

To be considered for a General Academic Scholarship, applicants must complete the ACER (Australian Council for Educational Research) Examination, which will be held at St Aidan’s Anglican Girls' School and other selected locations.

Selection is based on the ACER Scholarship Examination results, previous academic record, and an interview with the Principal (shortlisted applicants only).

She became the first female corporate member of the Institution of Engineers in 1951. Then in 1958, she became a member of the Royal Institute of Naval Architects. She was a key figure in Australian maritime engineering and architecture, working on various projects all around Queensland, including the Manly Boat Harbour in Brisbane.
