The student emails the following documents to the school:

• Certified translated copies of the students’ academic record for the past two (2) years
  
• Evidence of English Language Proficiency (e.g. IELTS, AEAS) for Year 5 and above
  If you do not have acceptable evidence, the school will arrange for the student to sit an English Proficiency Test administered through a nominated and CRICOS registered English Language College.

An application for enrolment can only be processed when all of the documents in Step 1 have been submitted to the school.

Applications from international students are processed according to established policy and procedures and are dealt with on their merits.

The student is interviewed via video link by school staff. The purpose of this interview is to converse with the student in English, discuss the school and student expectations, discuss Homestay, refer the student to relevant policies and address any questions the student may have.

The school issues a Letter of Offer to the student. The parent signs and returns the Enrolment Acceptance/Written Agreement and pays the invoice. In this letter, the school will notify the student if they have been accepted for direct entry, or is they are required to undertake an ELICOS Course prior to beginning mainstream studies.

The school will issue a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) and, if required, a Confirmation of Accommodation and Welfare (CAAW) via PRISMS after receiving full payment of the Acceptance Fee and a signed Enrolment Acceptance/Written Agreement.

The student can then apply for a visa and must notify the school when it is received and submit a copy. At this time the student should also submit evidence of Overseas Health Cover.

Once you have booked flights, please advise the school of your expected date of arrival.

After arriving in Australia, you may need to undertake an ELICOS course at an English Language College prior to commencing at St Aidan’s. During through this course, you will need to attend an interview with the Dean of Studies and/or Dean of Students to discuss subject selection and confirm the year of entry and start date based on ELICOS course progress. The student must attend this interview.
