Our St Aidan's community gathered to celebrate the opening of our Sports Performance Centre.

On Saturday 20 April, St Aidan's families, staff and special guests gathered at Ambiwerra to celebrate the official opening of the new Sports Performance Centre.

This has been a pivotal moment in our journey towards being a world leader in girls' education and has expanded our educational and sporting opportunities for both our students and our community.

Complementing our current facilities at Ambiwerra, the Sports Performance Centre features a new 96 metre-long indoor court for a range of sports including basketball, netball, volleyball badminton and futsal, and also includes a flexible learning space for our students, new amenities and offices.

The new building overlooks Ambiwerra's vibrant green space and waterways, and features both natural and modern architecture, allowing light and ventilation to filter through the facility. An arbour has also been added to provide a welcoming entry to the space and will gradually form a sunshade canopy to protect the northern edge.

At the event, we welcomed Stephen Green - Chair of School Council, Toni Riordan - Principal, The Right Rev'd John Roundhill and Jessica Pugh MP for Mount Ommaney to officially declare the building open.

This remarkable building would not have been achieved without the creative and innovative efforts of our dedicated team of architects, engineers, contractors and builders. We extend a warm thank you to BlightRayner, Gaskell Planning Consultants, DMA Partners, ATG, SignSite Group and our St Aidan's Donors for helping bring our vision to life.
