The St Aidan's Foundation is the school's major philanthropic arm whose primary function is to raise funds to deliver an on-going capital works program and an ever-improving education environment at the school.
The Foundation was founded in 1996 under the leadership of two of the school's most esteemed supporters and benefactors, the late Ron Archer and Bob Templeton.
Since its establishment, and with the kind generosity of the wider school community, the Foundation has raised more than $2 million, which has been invested in significantly upgrading the school's underlying infrastructure and facilities.
The Foundation is currently focussed on raising $600,000 per annum over the next 2 years to support the major redevelopment of the Performing Arts Complex now underway.
With school fees effectively just covering the yearly operating costs of St Aidan's (e.g. staff salaries, administration, school maintenance etc), the Foundation plays a pivotal role in the ongoing development of St Aidan’s through its primary objectives of:
- fostering a culture of giving in the school community to generate significant funding for much-needed capital projects and other vital school works;
- providing acknowledgement and stewardship of all donors to the school; and
- assisting the School Council to develop and maintain the highest level in education, facilities and community service for present and future students at St Aidan’s.
We encourage you to assist us in our endeavours however possible, to ensure the school’s next decade remains as dynamic as the last 10 years have proved.
